Shadowland by Meg Cabot

Kategori: Supernatural, YA

Suze is not happy. Her mother has suddenly remarried a new guy, who has three teenage sons and lives in California. Being dragged to a new state, new town and a new (catholic) school is not Suze's idea of what her life should be like. Everything changes when she finds the hot guy living in her bedroom. The only problem is that he's dead.

Suze is a mediator, which means that she can see, talk and touch the dead, and her life's mission is to help the poor souls to get to the other side. When Jesse the hot ghost doesn't want her help, she's actually quite happy: with the move, her goal is to not get into more trouble, go to the mall instead of to the cemetery and not get hope in the backseat of a police car. Her plans suddenly collaps when there's a ghost with revenge on her mind at her new school, and Suze is standing in her way.

This is a good series. It doesn't have a world of it's own, but borrows "our" world, and adds ghosts. Cabot writes well and makes the reader want to know more about the characters. Suze and Jesse isn't really what you would call an ordinary couple, and I think that's why you want to see how the story unravels.

This is a series of seven books, this being the first one. You can read more about the book here, and more about the series here!
