It hasn't been more than six weeks since the warrior angels came down to earth, but food, shelter and safety is running out. By day, rivaling gangs rule earth, and by night everyone keeps inside, hoping not to be found by the angels.

 

Penryn, her mother and her crippled sister try to make a daring escape, only to have her sister kidnapped by the angels. She finds, and rescues, Raffe, an injured angel, and blackmail him to help her recover her baby sister.

 

This is another more or less religious-themed book, once again with a twist -- the angels are the bad guys. The adventures Penryn and Raffe go through to get his wings sewed back on are baffling, and leaves the reader wanting more. As soon as possible I'll try to find and read the sequel!
