What to do when a one night stand turns into a full-time job?
A year ago, Cal Thompson was a pretty normal college guy, much more interested in partying and girls than his studies in NY. After meeting Morgan, and spending the night with her, he wakes up infected with a virus turning normal people into vampires -- but not him.
Before realising that he was a carrier, he had the time to infect a couple of girls. Now he's part of a secret organisation trying to right his wrongs, or at least try to do so.
Suddenly finding another interesting girl, and doing everything he can not to infect her too, leads the duo on a merry ride trying to rid the world of feral vampires.
In between the chapters, Westerfeld educates the reader with interesting (read: sometimes nasty) tid bits on parasites, in a hilarious way.
